Mikumi National Park is located about 283 kilometers from Dar es Salaam along the main Dar es Salaam Mbeya highway. This park shares some its ecosystem with the Selous Game Reserve. The Mikumi vegetation is comprised of the three major features the woodland, grassland and swamp. There are two water holes in the park mainly the Mkata and Chamgore

DAY 1
Dar es Salaam – Mikumi National Park
Depart from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park on 7:00am with packed lunch. Expect to see large population of Elephants, Giraffes, Buffaloes, Impalas, Zebras, Velvet monkey, kudus and many more attractions. Mikumi National Park is the third largest park in Tanzania (3230 sq.km). The main feature is the flood plain of Mkata River, together with the Uluguru mountain ranges which border the park on two sides. The flood plains are largely open grassland and are bordered in the west and east by wooded grassland and intermediate vegetation zones which merge with miombo woodland. Animals include elephants, giraffes and lions. Enjoy half day game drive, Overnight at Tented Camp / Lodges / Hotel / Campsites / Cottages on FB Basis
DAY 2
Mikumi National Park – Game Drive – Dar es Salaam
After early breakfast, half game drive in Mikumi National Park with packed lunch, the Mikumi landscapes and the Mkata plain savannah are similar to those of the Serengeti in the north. Mikumi is the Tanzanian park where you will have the chance to observe Lion, Buffaloes, Hippos, Kudus, Zebras, Leopard, Wild dogs if lucky, and the good is park host more than 400 bird species. After game drive, depart back to Dar es Salaam.
